Please introduce yourself, sir.
My name is Idowu Adebiyi, the Human Resources Manager of VON Automobile.
Can you tell us a little about VON Nigeria?
VON Nigeria the foremost automobile assembling firm in Nigeria with core expertise in the assembling of vehicles. VON fully started operations in 2011 having successfully rolled out the first assembled vehicle from there plant in October of the same year. VON automobile has added value to the transportation system and the labour market in the country over 300 hundred staff strength.
How did you hear about TAMS?
I was looking for a solution that will effectively manage my workforce as I had so many issues to attend to at the same time, luckily I stumbled upon a flier which read ‘Manage your staff from recruitment to retirement’. This prompted me to put a call through to the contact and I invited them for a presentation. Fortunately, their response was quite swift and they showcased what they had which really surpassed my expectation, as I didn’t know we had a home-based HRMS company with such capacity.
Before TAMS what was the situation of human resources and time management in VON?
At that time, I had to be chasing people all over the place to ensure they were working. I would follow-up with them to know where they where and urge them to arrive early at work. However, when we purchased TAMS, I was able to get accuracy and no longer run after staff, because when you are late you know there are implications for such issues.
In what way has TAMS impacted on your operations?
The value added of TAMS to us is more of the time management and in life really if you can’t manage your time you can’t manage anything.
What has your experience been with in terms of employee accountability?
The kind of operation we run in VON is about productivity and remarkably, we’ve been able to increase productivity by 30%. Compared to the pre-TAMS era, staff are now conscious of time. Statistics I have shows that they come in early and get to their duty stations promptly, thus ensuring that we can manage and gauge productivity.
Will you recommend TAMS?
Sure I will, I will always recommend TAMS to harness its vast advantage.
